Time to take Taurus through Canada

Even though Taurus will be cruising through the Welland Canal tomorrow, Fred and I won’t be on it. Canada does not allow Americans into the country unless they are on business, not for pleasure, due to Covid-19. Therefore we had to hire a Captain and two crew to do it for us.  They will meet Fred at the boat Monday morning at 6:00 am. After the briefing, Fred will leave and meet me at the hotel where he sent me tonight, “because everyone will be happier”. Ok, I admit it, I’m not a morning person.

The Welland Canal is the easy way to traverse Niagara Falls. (The hard way is to go over it in a barrel). Therefore, while the boat takes the 15-hour trip tomorrow, Fred and I will play tourist at Niagara Falls. So we should get some good pictures.

As I was getting ready to leave the Marina this afternoon, a 52-ft boat came in to dock right behind us. Remember, I said that the maximum length/width of these two slips was Taurus’s dimensions?  Isn’t this a little close?

  1. I am glad Taurus doesn't have to go over the falls in a barrel! I hope her trip through international waters is uneventful. It is fun watching your travels each day. Thanks for all the great pictures and tales of your adventures.
