Beaver Island, MI
Today we said good-by to Lake Huron and cruised to Lake Michigan. This is the last Great Lake we will be in on this Great Loop adventure. The swells were choppy, bouncy, and not comfortable but we powered through it. And the water is still beautiful!

We arrived at Beaver Island. The largest island in Lake Michigan, Beaver Island hosts many activities for every nature lover. The year round population is approximately 600, with a large percentage of Irish descent. We took a walk around the harbor area and then Fred, Dave and Cindy went to the local brewery. They came back with bakery items!

| I have a question. What is this thing? The light you see filtering through it is because it's made of hundreds, if not thousands, of hand prints. |

Welcome to Lake Michigan, great pictures, and I really enjoyed your video. I would not want to drive over that bridge! Carl said you can hire a person to drive your car over. The "thing" you asked about is called "Many Hands, One Light, A Better World" and it looks like it was installed in June 2021. I included an article that tells more about it :)

I knew I could count on my teacher friend to educate all of us! Thank you for the information. It is a huge sculpture and there was a light inside of it. It is definitely a conversation piece. It’s right by the marina where we stayed.
