Kewaunee, Wisconsin

This morning we bid a fond farewell to the State of Michigan and cruised due west across Lake Michigan to Kewaunee in Wisconsin.  Lake Michigan was CALM which supposedly doesn’t happen very often. We had no trouble making our way across the flat water. It was quite deep, going from 100 ft. to 898 ft. at the deepest part we saw.

Our cruise was  approximately 60 miles which meant that we were 30 miles from land in the middle. We were totally out of sight of land which was the first time this has happened for us. https://youtube.com/shorts/XZwNT4O1L7M?feature=share

We are in a fishing marina. Most of the boats
around us have multiple fishing rod holders.

While we were cruising, we caught up to another Looper we have met before. Fred called them on the radio, said hi and that we’d take photos of their boat underway. They were very happy and did the same for us.

It’s very difficult to get a picture of your boat underway. So this is great for us. We can get it framed now.

Here is the entry to the marina we are in for the night

Here is something interesting.  This is the log of our cruise today.  The green part right in the middle at the border of Michigan and Wisconsin is where we slowed down to take the pictures of our boats
