Mackinac Island, MI

We cruised to Mackinac Island in morning fog. A small vessel was disabled in the middle of the shipping channel. Not the best way to meet the Coast Guard who tows you out. |
There is a lot of activity with the ferries coming and going, other boats coming in for the night, and a lot of movement on Taurus from the wakes in the no-wake zone. ๐คจ

| Our slip at the Mackinac Island marina is on the end next to the ferry docks. |
The main street in Mackinac Island is very busy with people, bicycles, and horse-drawn carts. Fred and I took a walk to check it all out. There are no cars allowed on the Island since June 6, 1898 because they scared the horses. We even saw a sign that said no electric bicycles are allowed because they are “motor vehicles”.
