Sheboygan, Wisconsin

Malibu of the Midwest!

More on this teaser later (see article on last picture in this posting)

We are now far enough south and close to population centers that we moved from small towns where everything (limited) is close enough to walk, to the land of Uber and Instacart.  Uber is very helpful to get to interesting places that are too far to walk (we don’t use bikes) and Instacart is a great way to get a full spectrum of groceries delivered.  The last time we could get Instacart was in Monroe, Michigan on Lake Erie.

You might be interested to know that Kohler is based in Sheboygan County and a suburb of Sheboygan.  There is a lot of Kohler influence here.

We had a good cruise to Sheboygan today.  Again, Lake Michigan water was flat; of course, if you do any boating, you know that flat water means no wind, and no wind means fog.  I give the sailboat in the picture a pass on not using his sails. There really was NO wind.

The water was very flat the whole journey.

Malibu of the Midwest. That’s the claim Sheboygan makes. We didn’t know this. Did you?  Apparently Sheboygan is “known around the globe as the Malibu of the Midwest”.  I don’t know where I’ve been, but this is news to me. Please make sure you read the last paragraph where they talk about how winter surfing in Wisconsin is the peak season.  This is also news to me. I think I need to get out more.  ðŸ˜®
