St. Ignace, MI Upper Peninsula

Before we left on our cruise to St. Ignace, we had another impressive sunrise

We cruised from Michigan at the top of the Mitten to St. Ignace on the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. We are now as far North as we will be on this adventure. For those with interest, our latitude is 45.87 degrees.  For comparison, our home in Simsbury is 41.85 degrees.

There was a bridge going from Mackinac City on the Mitten to the UP at St. Ignace. There were several high speed ferries going every direction while we were there.

We had an impressive thunderstorm in the afternoon

Once we got here, we took a walk to the post office. St. Ignace is a tourist town, and has tourist stuff

  1. Looks like there are some really nice lighthouses in the area.

    1. Yes there are many. And, as in Connecticut, each one is different. Supposedly the Old Lighthouse that we went to last week is haunted too.
