Bradenton Florida - Family is the best!

This bird was drying his wings right next to Taurus!

The reason we did a side trip to Bradenton is because we have family here. And it did us a lot of good to see them.

We started the day with our niece, Summer, coming to visit with our Grandniece, Willa, 17 months old. Such a cutie pie!  We hadn’t seen Summer since her wedding several years ago, I think it was March 2016?  We had a great visit and a chance to catch up. Summer did all the hard work, driving just about an hour each way. But I think it was worth it!

Then we had to bid a fond farewell to Captain Dave so he could return home. He helped us a lot with driving the boat and staying in the channel in the dark, as well as cruising the 180 mile Gulf crossing. Thanks Dave!  Our visit was a lot of fun!

We took a walk after we saw Dave off and saw this - in Bradenton, Florida!

And then this evening my brother, Mike, and Ana came to visit. Our marina is very near their house. We had dinner at a local fresh fish place. We will be spending a good portion of next week with them while they vacation on their sailboat with our brother Brick, and his wife, Anna Marie, and another couple. Like I said, family is great!

    1. We’re looking forward to seeing you guys too!!
And it’s a diving duck? The bird called the same thing in Connecticut is much smaller. I guess not as much warmth and sunshine to grow up there 😆

  2. And I love the dinosaur pics - current Florida politics are from that same epoch.
