Today we cruised from Charlotte Harbor on the ICW to the Caloosahatchee Waterway, which will ultimately take us to the east coast of Florida. Along the way, the water was fairly comfortable.

Then we saw these power lines crossing the water just as they cross land at home:

And the water is not blue anymore 😢 |
Supposedly the water is not blue because the water is brackish. The blue Gulf water mixes with the fresh inland water and becomes brown.

Our marina tonight is a municipal marina in the heart of downtown Ft. Myers. Under the heading “things we didn’t expect”, the Ft. Myers Blues Festival is this weekend. And it’s right next to the marina! We are being treated to Blues music right on our boat. A sample:

And while the music was playing, we had a beautiful sunset: |

One other thing - does anyone know why the boat next to us has a leaf blower and 3 helmets? We can’t come up with a reasonable explanation. 🤷♀️ |
