On the move again - Sarasota, Florida

We cruised from Bradenton to Sarasota on Saturday, 24 nautical miles. You would think it would have been an easy cruise, as it consisted of the Manatee River, cut through Tampa Bay, then the intracoastal (ICW) waterway through Anna Maria Island. However, the channels were very narrow and required great skill and attention to maneuver. Captain Fred was up to the task and got us through it safely.

The scenery was different again. It’s amazing how many
differences there can be as we travel the American waterways.

Some helpful birds sitting on a sandbar made it obvious where NOT to take Taurus.

When we arrived in Sarasota, we tied the boat to the dock, and set off for lunch at the Marina Jack’s restaurant. And they had one of my favorite sandwiches - soft shell crab.  OMG, so good!  And hard cider!

And, as always, a beautiful sunset

  1. Sounds like a good day, thank you Captain Fred! It looks like the temperature is warmer and a great lunch, who could ask for more.

We are loving the weather. It has been Deb Days - temperature between 65-75 degrees and lower humidity.
