On the Road Again 🎼 🎡 🎢… Melbourne, FL to Titusville, FL

On March 29, we said goodbye to our three weeks in Connecticut and flew from Hartford back to Melbourne.

With Owen and Leo, new puppy

And I had to post this picture of Leo, at 9 weeks old, new puppy to Steph's family - cameo by Owen.

Look at those feet!!  He's going to be a huge dog.

On Friday, April 1, we left Melbourne around 11:00 a.m.  We couldn't leave earlier due to the severe thunderstorms and heavy rain that persisted all morning.  What a mess!  We had to drive the boat from the lower helm to stay out of the storms.

It was busy - lots of boats going both directions, north and south.  We are traveling the Intracoastal Waterway on the eastern side of the Florida peninsula.  That means that we are inside the barrier islands, and protected from the worst of the Atlantic Ocean swells and waves.  Plus, to date, every time I've been on the Atlantic Ocean, I have gotten seasick.  Those beam seas get me every time!

We had three dolphins follow us for a few minutes: Dolphins in Cocoa Beach

We stopped for the night in Titusville, FL.  The pilings there are quite high.  I don't even want to think about the storm surge from hurricanes that they must get.

Titusville marina

And look who we found hanging out around the marina!!

I'm not sure how long this dude has been working on the boat's lines,
but his dog thinks it's time to be done!

A postcard picture of Taurus

This is a boat that was anchored and got dragged to shore by the heavy winds we had.  Yikes!!
