Annapolis, MD to Baltimore, MD — the Inner Harbor

Today we had a nice, uneventful cruise on the Chesapeake Bay. For the first time. No fog, no giant tsunami waves, no freezing temperatures, just a fun cruise. Thank you Neptune!

As we left Annapolis, there were several cargo ships anchored well out of the harbor. Waiting to deliver goods?

And some sort of Navy boat

We went under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and over the tunnel

🎶"Over the tunnel and under the bridge, to the Great Loop we do go!"🎼🎵

As we came closer to Baltimore, we saw docks waiting for cargo ships to load or unload.

And for those of you on Fred’s nuclear power plant tour, we know there haven’t been many plants recently.  So we give you the picture of a coal-fired power plant. Just to let you know we’re still thinking of you.

Not a nuclear power plant

As we started approaching Baltimore, we could see Fort McHenry
(the brick building in the foreground)

I could see some older buildings as we approached the harbor.

Shortly after we docked, we headed to a Lebanese restaurant for lunch

While we were out walking, we found a machine that cleans trash out of the water. It runs on solar power and has a water wheel to pull the trash out of the water and put it into an onboard trash bin.

We also saw the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse built in 1856

There are still some cobblestone streets left in the Inner Harbor area

And Taurus in the slip in Baltimore
