Chesapeake, VA to Hampton, VA

As we pulled out of our slip at Top Rack Marina, and got in the channel, a tugboat rudely cut us off so he could go first. 🤬

Tug that cut us off. The second bridge is the I-64 drawbridge.

By the way, that second bridge he’s going under is a drawbridge on I-64.  I know, I never heard of this either.  It’s really high, looks to be about 60 ft. clearance.

Then we saw major electric wires

We were in the Elizabeth River as we started to go by Norfolk, the largest Naval base in the world.  It was one naval ship after the other. 75 ships, 148 aircraft.  It was a real show.

Our theory is that the white tarps are covering secret stuff.

We are staying at the municipal docks in Hampton.  The Bull Island Brewery is steps from our boat slip. They have a charcuterie board served on a hot soft pretzel.  Great idea!!

Love the brewing company's name!

Our boat is literally right there!

Giant hot pretzel makes a great base for a charcuterie board.
