Manteo, NC to Coinjock, NC — Family!

Tuesday, May 3 we went to the Festival Park on Manteo when they opened. We toured a replica of one of the ships, Elizabeth II, that took Sir Walter Raleigh’s expedition to the New World.

Coinjock has one long dock and all the boats were lined up on it, bow to stern, including the small cruise ship that was there for the day. Sadly, we said goodbye to Doug and Rorie in the late afternoon.

Coinjock advertises that they have “world famous” prime rib dinners.  So of course we had to try it. One is 32 oz. And the other is 16 oz. It was very well prepared and cooked. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best grade of meat so it wasn’t as tender as it should have been. Still good.
