Solomons, MD to Annapolis, MD — Fog to Sun!
When we left Solomons, it was cloudy, and very little fog. That changed quickly the closer we got to the Chesapeake Bay.

By the time we got to the Bay, it was thick fog again, and the water was very calm due to no wind. |
It was very busy on the Chesapeake Bay today. We had a tug pushing who knows how many barges - we couldn’t see him. He called to confirm that we weren’t planning any turns, and that we would hold to our course and speed. That enables him to pull up to our stern and then he went to port (left) to pass us. I kept looking, but never saw him. Thank goodness for AIS and radar.
Later in the day, we had a cargo ship call who asked us to move to port so he could pass on the starboard (right). Not a problem for us. And we were able to see him.

Finally, during the last quarter of the trip, once we got near to Annapolis, the fog started to lift and we could see something. Annapolis! This city has its own feel and it was great. And it was Sunday , so everyone with a boat was out there. I counted four separate sailboat regattas.

Once we got in our slip, we took a walk to stretch our legs. We are staying in the old part of Annapolis. |

And here’s Taurus in the slip for a couple of days. |
