“Stuck” in Hampton, VA

Friday, May 6 - so beginning today, I am Medicare‘s problem. 😔  Yippee 🙌

Fred found a local fresh doughnut place to recognize my birthday.  😋

Birthday Doughnuts!!

Fred didn't forget the card - the doughnut box provided an almost blank canvas.

And those doughnuts were awesome!  And a card on the top of the box!

The weather for the next week is going to be a problem for boaters from New Jersey down to South Carolina.  It’s going to be thunderstorms today, leading into wind, and off and on rain for the rest of the week. Seriously, we probably can’t leave Hampton before Friday the thirteenth.  The wind is forecasted to be Gale force - 34-47 knots (39-54 mph). The swells in the water with those winds can engulf pleasure boats. No thank you!  Fortunately, Hampton is near Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. We’ll rent a car and do some sightseeing.

Things could be way worse.  We have a large brick building behind us sheltering us from the worst of the winds (where the brewery is).  We were first in at the city docks, so we are good and set with lines and fenders.  Several boats came in after us and they are still here too, probably until Thursday or Friday (yes, that will be an unplanned week that we are here).
